American Queen Stops in Hannibal

August 17, 2019

Bill and Bev Crager of Monroe City went to Hannibal, Mo and watched the American Queen Cruise Ship disembarking some passengers for a bus trip into Hannibal for a little site seeing or shopping expedition, Saturday, August 17.

This was on the Illinois side at the John Hay Recreation Center near Hull, Illinois.

They are still working on the new landing on the Hannibal side on Center Street, not sure when that will be complete.

The Queen is a HUGE ship, built in 1995, 418 feet long, 109 feet high, a crew of 160, 6 decks, 222 Staterooms with capacity for 436 travel guest. It is powered by steam and diesel.
