The Coyote Sound Places Second in Parade Competition
October 02, 2018

Elsberry, MO - The Coyote Sound Marching Band began its competitive parade season last Saturday. The Elsberry Fall Festival Band Competition pitted seven high school bands from the region against each other in a “Battle of the Bands.” The Paris Band placed 2nd in the Parade competition.
Director of Bands Jared Shulse was pleased with the result, and notes that the band is maturing just at the right time, both musically and visually, as we move further into our season.
The colorguard, coached by Tyrina Goodwin, has especially added to the visuals of the band with their excellent flag work. The Band performs at Monroe City on October 6, Hannibal on October 9, Kirksville on October 13, and Ashland on October 20.
A healthy Monroe County requires great community news.
