Marilyn Victoria Harrison, 90, of Monroe City, MO passed away at 4:47 pm Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Monroe City Manor Care Center in Monroe City, MO.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 14, 2020 at the James O'Donnell Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO. Pastor Chad McMath will officiate.

Burial will follow at St. Jude's Cemetery in Monroe City, MO.

Friends and family are invited to Marilyn's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be Monday, September 14, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

If you plan on attending the visitation or funeral service please wear a face covering.

Marilyn was born May 26, 1930, in Center, MO to Marion Schafer and Grace Griffin Schafer. She was married to William "Pete" Henry Harrison on October 2, 1952 in Perry, MO. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2003.

Survivors include her children, William Harold Harrison (Ginny) of Canton, GA, Russell Dean Harrison (Rose) of Monroe City, MO, Ruth Marie Smith (Mark) of Monroe City, MO, Marion Edward Harrison of Monroe City, MO, Rita Sue Hays (Marty) of Hunnewell, MO, Dorothy Jean Tippie (Mike) of Sealy, TX, Richard Craig Harrison (Cathy) of Palmyra, MO, 1 sister Donna Caldwell of Center, MO, 1 brother Robert Schafer of Center, MO, 11 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Earl Schafer, one infant brother, one daughter, Marsha Ann Maupin (Terry), and one infant grandson, Michael.

Professionally, Marilyn worked as a nurses aid at the Salt River Nursing Home.

A talented seamstress, Marilyn enjoyed sewing clothing for her family, quilts and needle point. Living on the family farm, Marilyn took pleasure in keeping her home there. She also liked to fish with family and friends. A wonderful baker, Marilyn enjoyed her sweets; cakes, pies, and cookies, and she made the best homemade fudge. Most of all Marilyn simply enjoyed the moments she shared with her family.

Marilyn attended First Baptist Church of Monroe City.

Pallbearers will be Jim Yates, John Yates, Jr., Nicole Stone, Travis Marler, Robin Harsell, Rusty Harrison, Terry Joe Maupin, and Jimmy Caldwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Harrison's grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
