Richard Lee Boggs, 89 years young of Stoutsville M0., received his new eternal life and unspeakable joy with Jesus on December 16, 2017.
He was born to William G. and Ethyl (Haney) Boggs on November 29, 1928, in Dogwood Ridge, Ohio.
After two years of college, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1948 to 1951, in the Medical Department, at Fort Sam Houston. He returned to Ohio State University and completed his Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, where he was initiated into the Ohio State Univ. Chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma Fraternity. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Business from Miami University of Ohio.
Richard is survived by his wife Wanda Lee (Rechert) Boggs and Racine (Richard) Leahy, Richard (Jeanine) Boggs, Bruce (Melinda) Boggs, Barbara (Timothy) O’Brien, Robert (Sandra) Boggs, Robert (Ginny) Rechert, Bradley (Dwanna) Rechert, Jennifer (Howard) Crayne.
He was blessed with 31 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one nephew, three nieces and many “adopted” grandchildren.
He is preceded in heaven by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, at First Baptist Church, of Paris, from 10 a.m. to noon with a Celebration of Life Service following.
