Society. Nina Carter 1952-
Nina Carter, 65, of Moberly, formally of Columbia, passed away on December 23, 2017, at her home.
Nina Carter was born on June 24, 1952, at Mexico, Mo., the daughter of Marvin JR and Amy Smith Carter. Nina graduated from Paris RII High School in 1970 and later graduated from Gen City College, in Quincy, Ill. She worked as a secretary in the planning and zoning department for the city of Columbia for many years. Nina was later the secretary for the City Manager of Columbia, Ray Beck and later retired. Nina loved gardening and cooking. She also loved to go to garage sales, estate sales and auctions where she collected vintage items. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and taking care of her pets, Sally Belle & 8-Ball! They were her pride and joy.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents, significant other: Mike Mallory, and her grandparents. She is survived by a sister Jana Carter of Moberly, Mo.; and several cousins.
A Memorial service was held at 2 p.m., on Friday, December 29, 2017, at the Agnew Funeral Home, in Paris, with Reverend Donna Scott officiating. Visitation was from 1 p.m., until the time of services on Friday. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris.
