The Salvation Army Offers Christmas Assistance & Mini-Bucket Blitz Comes to Monroe City

he Salvation Army of Hannibal is now taking applications for Christmas food boxes.

As part of the Hannibal Salvation Army, Monroe City and Monroe County residents who meet eligibility requirements can sign up for a good box. You can fill out an application at your local NECAC office, The Salvation Army Family Service office located in Steamboat Bend Shopping Center in Hannibal, or fill out an online form at the Hannibal Salvation Army Facebook page.

The Salvation Army will also be holding a mini-bucket blitz in Monroe City on Tuesday, December 2 from 10am until 2pm. Bell ringers will be located at the four-way stop at North Main and Business Highway 36/24.

Money raised helps support The Salvation Army's Christmas campaign to provide up to 800 food boxes in Monroe, Marion, Ralls, Lewis and Shelby counties.

In the past year, 4,242 individuals received assistance from The Salvation Army of Hannibal including 2,106 food boxes, rent and utility assistance and clothing items.
