Human Remains Identified

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of human remains, on April 18, 2025.  The remains were discovered on a property off of Highway 154, just outside of Paris, Missouri. An autopsy performed on the remains determined the remains had been exposed to the elements for an extended period of time, with no indication of trauma. 

The remains have been identified as Kody J Berrey (33 year old male) of rural Paris.
