Roadwork Planned for Routes in Monroe County

Weather permitting, MoDOT will be doing culvert replacements and resurfacing work in Monroe County. Please see the dates and locations below.

Monroe County U.S. Route 24 – July 22-23, the road will be reduced to one lane traffic from Route U to Route W for milling and resurfacing operations. The work will be completed between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Monroe County Route MM – July 22, the road will be closed from CRD 278 to CRD 284 for culvert replacements. The work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Monroe County Route N – July 23, the road will be closed from CRD 586 to CRD 492 for a culvert replacement. The work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes for stated closures. Travelers will experience delays for one lane traffic reductions and will need to use caution when traveling through work zones during these times. Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel, and put down your cell phone to help eliminate distractions.

This work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled or delayed. When traveling through work zones this summer, traffic flow may be merged to one lane.
