11th Crappie Club Jack & Jill Tournament
The 11th Annual Eastern Missouri Crappie Club Jack & Jill Tournament will be July 20 at 6am.
This is one of the biggest tournaments on Mark Twain Lake! Teams are Male/Female teams, you can fish up to two teams per boat. $100 per team entry fee. Weigh in with BBQ, live and silent auctions at Paris Fairgrounds July 20.
Payout is a flight system so even if you don’t finish well you have a chance of winning money! Weigh in your 7 biggest live fish! All females who are registered to fish will receive a t shirt!
REGISTRATION WILL START FRIDAY THE 19th at the Paris Mo. Fairgrounds from 2pm to 7pm. You can bring donations to registration and we will store them.
NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER AFTER 7PM OR SATURDAY.
You need not fish to participate in BBQ or auctions. EMCC was founded in 2009. Two of our founding members Debbie Sosinski and Joe Meyer came up with the idea of having a fishing tournament to raise money for cancer research. Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Two years later their club was approached by Monroe County Cancer Supporters. After finding that money collected by this group stayed in Monroe County our club voted to donate the bulk of tournament funds to this group.
To date their club has given over $126,000 to MCCS. Add on what has been given to a Troy, Mo. Relay for Life team and the amount is over $166,000. Anyone wishing to donate an auction item or make a cash donation contact John Martens at 573 231 9820 or Barb McCall at TPNB Bank.
Results and pictures of the winners will be in next week’s edition.
