White Arrested on Multiple Charges
On February 4, 2019 at approximately 3:30 P.M., a Monroe City Police Officer performed a traffic stop at the 200th block of First Street. During the traffic stop Andre White was identified as the driver and his license was revoked. During contact with White the Officer attempted to place him under arrest. White resisted arrest, and the Officer was injured at that time. The Officer called for backup and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, members of the Monroe City Police Department, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded. White was taken into custody at that time. During the investigation it was determined White dropped methamphetamine while resisting the Officer. Per protocol, the Monroe City Ambulance responded and the Officer was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by personal vehicle after being cleared by EMS. Officer suffered minor injuries to her hand and was released by Hannibal Regional Hospital.
White was transported to the Monroe County Jail by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and placed on a 24-hour hold; pending charges are as follows:
• Felony driving while revoked
• Felony resisting arrest
• Felony assault on an officer involving physical injury
• Felony possession of a controlled substance- methamphetamine
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
