R. D. Levings
R. D. Levings, 91 of Paris, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 22, 1926 in Monroe County, the son of Edgar T. and Myrtle Irene Eckman Levings. He married Hazel Duncan on June 7, 1952 in Mexico, MO and she survives at home. Other survivors include three daughters; Linda Crow, Lisa (Mike) Houston and LaVonda (Danny) Dye; one son, Darrell Levings; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, June Duncan; one sister-in-law, Murline Levings and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Leslie, one sister, Betty Jean, three brothers, Kenneth, Vernie and Rusty Levings.
R. D. served In the United States Army. He owned and operated a tractor and heavy machinery repair shop. Over the years he worked for Gilmore Equipment, Sydenstricker Implement and Jack Simpson Construction. He, also, farmed and raised livestock. R. D. thoroughly enjoyed his family and time he spent on the farm.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Agnew Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. at Agnew Funeral Home.
