Freddie Lee Vincent 1960-2018
Fred Vincent, 58 formally of Holliday, died March 29, 2018, at Columbia University Hospital.
In 1991 Vincent opened a new place of business, located on the corner building at Washington and Monroe streets in Paris, Vincent TV (just south of the post office)
Fred had several years of television repair experiences. He worked five years with Jim’s TV and also did repair work through the True Value Hardware Store. Since 1990 he worked out of his home in Paris and later was certified to do warranty work for Zenith, RCA and GE. He specialized in home repair and customers brought items into the shop as well.
Fred was employed with Brookstone, Clearview TV and Dawn Foods, in Mexico. He later worked with Best TV and Dura, of Moberly.
He was born on January 8, 1960, the son of John Henry (Pat) and Wilma (Gibler) Vincent, of Holliday. Fred was 1978 graduate of Paris High School.
Fred is survived by his mother, Wilma Vincent of Holliday; one sister, Janice Anne (Randy) Davis and a brother Henry both of Holliday. Nelda Long a sister is deceased, also three nieces and one nephew survive, Molly Davis, Pat, Beth (Greg) Kroes and Heidi (Lane) Martin and also two great-nephews and two great-nieces.
Fred had many friends and he enjoyed music, he was a member of the First Christian Church of Paris.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, at 10 a.m., at the Christian Church, in Paris, with Reverend Donna Scott officiating. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m., on Monday, at the Christian Church. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, in Holliday.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
